Training & Work Experience
- During post graduation in Internal Medicine: Worked in Intensive Care Unit including Cardiac Care Unit [Total 19 beds], Well versed with mechanical ventilation, pericardial tapping, temporary cardiac pacing, central lines and other routine ICU procedures, bedside procedures like pleural tapping, lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy, liver biopsy.
- Working as a Consultant in Internal Medicine and Critical Care unit at Crescent Hospital & Heart Centre, Nagpur since 2011.
- Working as Research Assistant for an International Trial on Efficacy of Azithromycin in Falciparum Malaria.
- CREATE study.
- Worked in Care Hospital during DNB training and as Junior Consultant for 4 years, well versed in clinical, basic interventional cardiology as well in cardiac imaging (ECHO, CTA, MRI).
- Worked as Junior Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at Escorts Heart Institute, at DELHI, independently doing Interventional procedures (PTCA, PACEMAKER etc).
Involvement in Research & Community Health
- Participated as a Research Officer in Fact Finding Mission instituted by Government of Maharashtra for Malnutrition Deaths in Tribal areas in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra in 2004.
- Participated in Rural Health Check up camps for Government of Maharashtra in 2004 in tribal areas of Nagpur district.
- Worked as Assistant Medical Officer in a tribal PHC in village Lalkheda, Dist Amravati in 1999 for 3 months.
- Worked as Research Assistant for an International Trial on Efficacy of Azithromycin in Falciparum Malaria in Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur in 2003.
- Worked as Research assistant in CREATE study, an International Multicentre Randomized Clinical trial in Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur in 2002.
- Worked as co-investigator in research of randomized trial to compare the TAXUS elementTM Coronery Stent system against the XIENCE PrimeTM Coronery Stent system in the treatment of a Diabetic Patient Population in India.
- Worked as co-investigator in Research of Autonomic Neural Regulation therapy to enhance Myocardial function in patients with heart failure and preserved ejection fraction (ANTHEM-HFpEF STUDY)
- Worked as co-investigator in Research of Phase III multi centre, double blind, randomized, placebo controlled, parallel group evaluation of the efficacy, safety and tolerability of Bococizumab (PF-04950615), in reducing the occurance of major cardiovascular events in high risk subjects.
- Worked as co-investigator in research of a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the effects of Bempedoic Acid (ETC-1002) on the occurrence of major cardiovascular events in patients with, or at high risk for Cardiovascular Disease who are Statin intolerant.
